Here at Groupee.com, our goal is to revolutionize the music industry by becoming a hub for fans and a platform for bands, labels, and venues to build audiences and make money. Our roots are as a social technology company, and we're using our expertise to create an environment that is social, creative, and informative... with all components seamlessly connected. It's an ambitious plan.

As a fan, you can expect the following:

• Great Content: check out our Groupee Sessions videos, where we bring emerging artists into a real recording studio for live performances. Or read our features and interviews to discover or learn more about artists of interest.
  
  
• Band Info and Music: we have band sites for just about every band you can think of. We also allow the bands to take ownership of these sites so that they can post their own blog entries and communicate with you, the fan, more directly. Every band site also lists complete discography info, as well as concert listings for the artist. Artists can also share music on these sites.
  
  
• Social Features: you'll have your own free site when you register, with a customizable profile, blog, and more. Show people the contents of your iTunes collection, list your favorites bands, and befriend others.
  
  
• Music Sales: sometime in 2009, we'll support music sales (digital downloads and/or CD sales). For digital music, we will be completely DRM-free and also support the highest quality files (256 kbps AAC).
  
  

As a band, label, or venue, you can expect the following:

• Free Marketing Tools: your own (free) sites, with more advantaced features than you'll find on MySpace (support for mobile postings, targeted fan emails based on zip code, etc.)
  
  
• Affordable Services: through our Amplifii service (launching early 2009), we'll provide dirt cheap digital music distribution to the major online retailers. And unlike other standalone services that might offer something similar, all of this is integrated with our Groupee network. We'll also be supporting digital music sales on our site, as well as CD sales sometime in 2009.
  
  
• Revenue Sharing: we look on bands, labels, and venues as our partners. We'll be sharing all advertising revenue on groupee.com with all registered bands, labels, and venues. Up to 60% of all ad revenue will go to these registered partners starting in the summer of 2009.
