We're looking to develop a network of contributing writers who can cover emerging and established artists across the world. If you have at least some experience writing for a blog or publication and have a a passion for music, we may be interested in working with you. Our initial focus is on writers who live in the following metro areas: Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Austin, Portland (OR), Seattle, Washington DC, San Francisco, Boston, Nashville, and London. We are seeking coverage on the following styles of music: alternative, rock, folk, alt-country, pop, soul, blues, rap, and hip hop.

We're looking for features and interviews, not album or show reviews.

We pay per story at rates that range from $40 - $90 per story (pay increases as your total number of published stories increases). We also pay a little more for video content or for stories that include original photos.

• Summary of your writing experience, including links to previous work
• Contact Info (email, phone number)
• List of your favorite musical artists
• Number of stories you expect to be able to produce each month

We'll reply within a few weeks of receipt of your application.

Once you are accepted as a correspondent, you'll submit your ideas to us in advance. Once your idea is approved, we'll pay you upon submittal and approval of the story. All guidelines will be provided once you are accepted as a correspondent.
