Big Phony is the solo project of Bobby Choy, who splits time between New York and Los Angeles.  Bobby's (quite brilliant) songs are gems of understated heartache, most definitely in the mold of Elliott Smith.   Check out (and buy) his records (or one of his nifty 'baghead' t-shirts) on his website.

Seriously, artists like this need to be supported.

After we finished this session, sound engineer Raymond Richards and I both thought it would be interesting to add some backing vocals.  A day or two later, we mentioned this to Wendy Wang (of The Sweet Hurt) and she volunteered to add her beautiful voice to "I Love Lucy".  Thus, in the video you see for that song, the shots of Wendy singing backing vocals were actually added a week later.
