Los Angeles-based The Weather Underground treated us to an amazing set of live performances at Red Rockets Glare studio in Los Angeles.
Bird in the Hand: This song appears on the band’s most recent EP of the same name, but for this performance the band actually appended another track from that EP, “Little Sparrows in Boyle Heights” to the beginning, giving the performance an epic build-up. Something’s Gotta Give: soul sleigh bells usher in “dreams to remember” for this scintillating performance. Old Man Jude: begins as a mournful ballad but quickly accelerates into a foot-stomping celebration/wail of life... “I’m not dead... you’re not dead... oh no!” Letters: a new, unreleased track featuring rollicking piano. In addition to the videos, you'll find the audio tracks for each song below. We also have an video interview with the band here.
